OFFER (Organisation For Friends Energies and Resources) was founded in 1986 and registered in 1987 with an aim to provide assistance to children in difficult circumstances and mainstream them through direct intervention and campaign, thus enabling them to live A life with dignity. OFFER reaches out to 5,000 children. OFFER has rescued all the inmates and arranged for their accommodation at ‘Apanjan’, a specialized (Branded with ISO 9001: 2000) residential care & support program for the mentally challenged children. After careful check up by the child specialists, counselors it was found that all the 30 children are mentally challenged with multiple disabilities and have been suffering from severe malnutrition those need immediate care and protection.

Out of 30 children 4 children were in a situation required to be hospitalized in Kolkata. Besides, all other arrangements have been done by the OFFER within its limited resources.

   OFFER's major programs include :

* Community-based education sponsorship program
* Rehabilitation program for children living on railway platforms
* Residential care units for children without parental care
* Residential care unit and community schools for children with learning difficulties
* Residential care cum hospice for children infected with HIV/AIDS
